The society runs its own treatment centre at 16, Bankim Mukherjee Sarani (1st Floor) (H/8, New Alipore) P.O. & P.S. New Alipore, Kolkata-700053, with one transfusion room, one small laboratory, waiting area etc. It is a 14-bed treatment centre where more than 300 thalassaemia patients are given regular blood transfusion and other relevant treatments. All the patients are given hassle free, systematic treatment. The patients receive transfusion at a subsidized cost and around 20% of the patients are treated free of cost.
The patients receive free pathological tests (HB%, TC, DC, ESR) at a regular interval.
Organizes around 250 blood donation camps to collect more than 15000 units of blood for its patients.

Today with the help of modern treatment it is possible for any Thalassaemic to live a normal life. But this integrated approach to treat the illness needs lot of financial support. TSI is providing blood transfusion facility to the patients, however the main cost of treatment for the patients is incurred for Iron Chelation. If the patients who are receiving Blood transfusion also get chelation regularly, the overall status of the patients will improve drastically. Therefore the requirement of an integrated approach towards treatment of Thalassaemics is the urgent requirement of the society.
